We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Personal / Family Assistant to support a busy professional household.
This is a part time role supporting a lovely family of 3 and will include both household management and administrative responsibilities. The position would suit someone with previous experience in private households who is mature minded, proactive, has an eye for detail and takes pride in delivering a high level of support.
Due to the Principals profession within the medical field, we are searching for a candidate that can be flexible on occasions and will ideally live close by.
The successful candidate will be confident managing all aspects of the home, including cleaning, laundry, running errands, school pickup / drop offs, pet care on occasions and meal prep, whilst also assisting with diary management, travel bookings, and general administrative tasks. You will be working in coordination with a Practice Manager and contributing to the smooth running of both the household and associated professional commitments.
The ideal candidate will love variety in their day, be adaptable, efficient and flexible, have the ability to anticipate needs and manage a varied workload with efficiency and discretion. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks throughout the home, maintaining a high standard of presentation
- Manage laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care with attention to detail
- Make beds and change linen as required
- Coordinate grocery ordering and maintain household supplies
- Run household errands including post office, dry cleaning, and general tasks
- Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups
- Provide dog walking and basic pet care
- Undertake light garden maintenance (minimal)
- Manage diaries, schedules, and appointments
- Coordinate travel bookings and itineraries
- Arrange car servicing and maintenance
- Provide administrative support related to a professional practice
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Blue Card - Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Police Check (not older than 1 year)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Professional, discreet, and reliable
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent contactable references
- Full working rights in Australia (Not suitable for Visa Holders)
Job Conditions
- Part Time: 3 days per week (minimum 27 hours)
- Wednesday / Thursday / Friday
- Additional hours may be required on an ad hoc basis
