We are seeking an exceptional Housekeeper to join a respectful, well-run household in South Yarra. This is a full-time role, Monday – Friday where you will be supporting a young family in maintaining the pristine condition of their main family residence and their holiday home in Portsea.
Your primary focus will involve the cleaning of their main residence, and knowledge of cleaning high end finishes is a must. We are looking for someone that takes pride in their role, has an exceptional eye for detail and enjoys maintaining beautiful properties inside and out, you will get great satisfaction in working for this wonderful family. Travel to their Portsea holiday home at ad hoc times, will also be required to prepare the property for the family’s arrival and ensure it is well maintained.
We are seeking someone that has a great work ethic and really understands the level of service, discretion and confidentially required to work within private homes. There is additional staff employed, and you will be working closely with the Personal Assistant and the Nanny.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain all areas of the home including bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, bar, sauna, and outdoor entertaining spaces.
- Manage all laundry – including washing, steaming, ironing, folding, and wardrobe management.
- Make beds, change linen as per scheduled.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish
- Keep the kitchen area tidy and clean, fridge cleaned out regularly.
- Monitor stock levels and restock household supplies and groceries when required
- Occasional errands, including drycleaning, post office deliveries etc
- Pet care - Bengal cat, cleaning of litter tray and feeding/watering
- Keep the fireplace clean and stocked with firewood
- Occasionally assist with private events or family gatherings
- Visit the Portsea holiday home for cleaning on an ad hoc basis
- Identify any maintenance issues and report to the Personal Assistant
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in private households, ideally from a superyacht or private household background.
- Knowledge of working with high-end finishes
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and time management
- A professional understanding of household etiquette, confidentiality and discretion
- Warm, capable and discreet
- Travel required to second property in Portsea
- Comfortable working around children and pets (cat)
- Full driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Police Check and Working with Children Check
- First Aid certification preferred but not essential
