Our lovely clients are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Assistant (ideally with a yachting background) to support a busy household in Bulimba. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a multifaceted environment, and enjoys managing a private household, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and home organisation. There is an additional cleaner for the heavier cleaning.

The ideal candidate will uphold high standards in a brand new, high-end home and have previous experience with children, whilst there are children in the home, no childcare / nanny duties are required. The Family Assistant will manage all other household responsibilities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, allowing the stay-at-home mum to focus on her daughters.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping: Resetting and tidying the house daily, making beds, and putting fresh towels in bathrooms.
  • Laundry: Managing all household laundry needs.
  • Cooking: Grocery shopping, Preparing healthy daily meals and snacks.
  • Home Maintenance: Watering indoor plants, placing the hose or robot vacuum in the pool weekly, and ensuring overall upkeep.
  • Organisation: Organising closets, toys, kitchen, and pantry to maintain a high standard of home.
  • Child Interaction: Comfortable interacting with children, assisting occasionally if needed.
  • High-End Home Care: Maintaining high standards and taking care of high-end finishes in a new home.


  • Experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in yachting for attention to detail and autonomy
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, use initiative and take ownership of the household.
  • Previous experience with children.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.

  • WWCC (Working with Children Card)
  • Excellent contactable references
  • Candidates must have full working rights in Australia.

Job Conditions:

  • Approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Start / finish times are open to discussion
  • $40 per hour
  • Live-out position
  • Credit Card provided for work purposes
