We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced FAMILY ASSISTANT to support a large, busy family with housekeeping and childcare duties in Clayfield, Brisbane. This fantastic role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, loves a varied role and is highly organised and has a passion for housekeeping and keeping a tidy home. Someone that enjoys cooking or has experience cooking for a large family would be highly advantageous. Someone that is bubbly and positive, has a caring nature and takes pride in their work. Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and tidy household, including general cleaning and laundry duties
- Prepare meals mainly for children and enjoy baking.
- Restock household supplies, manage grocery shopping, and handle various household errands as and when needed
- Assist with school aged children (6yr twins, 8, 10, and 12) including school pickups, drop-offs, and supervise after school activities
- Organise wardrobes, cupboards and pantry to maintain a neat and tidy environment
- Must be pet friendly, occasional pet care may be needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a busy family environment
- Warm and positive personality, with a love for children and an active household
- Reliable and flexible, with an ability to support occasional evening and weekend work
- Strong organisational skills, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to the role.
- Confident preparing meals and cooking.
- Drivers license with a clean record and a reliable car.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
